A New Way of Grading NFL Draft Prospects

About THE SITE

Prospects

NFL Draft 111 has identified the top 111 draft eligible prospects for the forthcoming 2021 draft.  The prospects have been chosen regardless of position and they represent the players that we feel should be chosen early on draft night.

Practice

NFL Draft 111 will take the top 111 prospects and assign grades to the pre-determined key attributes for their individual positions.  Each positional attribute is given a % weighting and adjustments will be made for proximity to the prototypical size markers and intangibles such as leadership and off-field issues.

Philosophy

NFL Draft 111 believes that the ranking of draft prospects has to be backed up by substantial research.  We feel that by grading on key attributes, we can confidently project a prospects' success at the pro level in an ever changing landscape.

Prospects Latest

The main buzz ahead of the 2021 draft, as always, surrounds the Quarterbacks.  Trevor Lawrence is the consensus #1 pick, but there are other prospects who could challenge Lawrence to be the top pick next April.  Ohio State's Justin Fields is an excellent player.  Jamie Newman has transferred from Wake Forest to Georgia and could excel for the Bulldogs.  Trey Lance could be a high pick if he declares as a Redshirt Sophomore.

2021 should see another excellent Receiver class.  LSU's Ja'Marr Chase is every bit as good as the top Receivers from 2020.  Alabama, again, should have 2 RD1 Receivers in DeVonta Smith and Jaylen Waddle.  As with 2020, there is excellent depth in this class and exceptional players could be found in Rounds 2 and 3.

Another positional group with excellent early prospects is the Offensive Tackle class.  Oregon's Penei Sewell could be the best OT to declare in many years.  Others such as Alex Leatherwood, Samuel Cosmi, and Walker Little should be taken in RD1.

On defense, there are a lot of elite prospects that teams will target at the top of the draft.  The Cornerback group looks strong with Patrick Surtain and Shaun Wade looking like top 15 prospects.  Miami's Gregory Rousseau looks like the best Edge prospect.
